The MDF aims to improve the living conditions of Haitian communities in order to counter the poverty and exclusion. It prioritizes areas such as education, health and culture, key elements of sustainable human development.

The fundamental values of the FMD are respect, perseverance, cooperation and the pursuit of efficiency.

The MDF wants:

  • to alleviate the poverty of the people of the Far North by providing for their basic needs (food, clothing and free or low-cost medicines);
  • educate the population of these regions by offering basic and literacy courses (French, mathematics, history, geography, etc.);
  • contribute to the advancement of education by providing scholarships, bursaries, awards and other forms of financial assistance to disadvantaged students in these regions who wish to pursue their studies.
